What Is TapMogul?
TapMogul is a free-to-play idle clicker game that runs entirely in your web browser — no download, no account, and no purchase required. You start as a one-person operation, tapping a button to earn virtual cash. Over time, you invest that cash into income generators: automated businesses that earn money for you every second, even while you're away.
The goal is simple: grow your empire from a small sole proprietorship to a global conglomerate, prestige for permanent multipliers, and climb the real-time global leaderboard of Moguls. The game is designed around satisfying progression loops — every tap, every upgrade, and every prestige brings a meaningful step forward.
TapMogul is supported by optional rewarded advertising through Google's ad platform. You are never required to watch an ad to play, progress, or access any core feature of the game.
Core Gameplay
Tap to Earn
The game starts with a single large tap button. Every tap earns you virtual cash instantly. Early on, tapping is your primary income source. As your empire grows, your tap value scales up — late-game taps can be worth billions per click.
Income Generators
Spend your cash to buy income generators: automated businesses that earn money every second without any input from you. Each generator has its own earning rate, upgrade path, and level cap. Owning and leveling up multiple generators simultaneously causes your per-second income to compound rapidly. The six generator types represent different stages of your business empire, from a simple side hustle to a globe-spanning conglomerate.
Power Upgrades
The Upgrades tab contains permanent boosts that multiply your income generators and tap value. Each upgrade is purchased once and applies a global multiplier. Strategic upgrade purchases can multiply your per-second income by orders of magnitude. Unlocking upgrades requires reaching specific milestones in generator levels.
Daily Quests & Streaks
TapMogul tracks your daily login streak and offers a fresh set of quests every week. Completing quests rewards you with in-game cash and Mogul Points. Your streak multiplies your daily bonus — players who log in consistently earn compounding advantages over time.
Prestige System
Once your empire reaches a critical mass, you can activate a Prestige reset. Prestiging wipes your current cash and generators in exchange for a permanent income multiplier that applies to all future runs. Each prestige unlocks a new visual tier for your game interface:
Prestige players accumulate Mogul Points — a long-term progression currency that persists across all prestige resets and determines your position in the global rankings.
Power Moves — Optional Boosts
Power Moves are optional rewarded actions available at any time from the main game screen. Watching a short ad activates one of these boosts:

Multiply your tap value by 5 for 3 minutes. Perfect for rapid early-game acceleration.
Instant Cash Drop
Receive an immediate lump-sum cash bonus based on your current income rate.

Instantly unlock your next generator without paying the cash cost.
Skip Cooldown
Remove any active cooldown timer instantly. Never wait on a timed gate again.
All Power Moves are completely optional. Declining any Power Move never blocks gameplay or restricts access to any feature.
Global Leaderboard & Mogul Tiers
TapMogul features a real-time global leaderboard powered by Firebase Firestore. Set your nickname and choose an avatar to claim your Mogul identity and appear in the rankings.
Players are ranked by monthly Mogul Points. The leaderboard resets at the start of each month, giving everyone a fresh shot at the top. Your lifetime Mogul Points determine your permanent business tier:
- Sole Proprietor — Starting tier for new players
- LLC — Reached after accumulating your first significant Mogul Points
- Corporation — Mid-tier players who have completed multiple prestiged runs
- Conglomerate — The top tier, reserved for the most dedicated Moguls
Your tier badge is displayed on the leaderboard, on your shareable empire card, and on the in-game header, signaling your status to other players.

TapMogul is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA). It runs instantly in any modern browser with no installation required. For an enhanced experience, you can install it to your home screen for full-screen, offline-capable play on mobile and desktop alike.
Game progress is saved automatically. Your local game state is stored in your browser's local storage and synced to Google Firebase under an anonymous player ID — no name, email, or personal information is ever collected or required to play. If you play on multiple devices, your leaderboard standing and Mogul Points sync across them automatically.
TapMogul is 100% free to play. There are no in-app purchases, no premium currency packs, and no paywalls. The game is entirely supported by optional rewarded advertising.

Will I lose my progress?
Your progress saves automatically in your browser and syncs to the cloud. As long as you don't manually clear your browser data, your game is preserved. You can also use the Export Save feature in Settings to back up your progress as a text string.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Install TapMogul as a PWA from your browser's menu for offline play. Your generators keep earning while you're away and you'll collect offline earnings when you return.
What are Mogul Points?
Mogul Points are earned through prestiging and completing milestones. They persist across all prestige resets, determine your business tier rank, and are used for the monthly global leaderboard rankings.
How does prestige work?
When your empire reaches sufficient size, the Prestige button activates. Tapping it resets your current cash and generators in exchange for a permanent income multiplier that applies to all future runs. Prestige as many times as you like — each one makes your next run faster.
